BIO
I'm Scott Cardwell and I formed Scoca Productions in 2009. I'm fortunate that my experience has taken me to some amazing places both within Australia and internationally, covering a broad variety of video production formats, with versatility and an eye for detail being key traits in my work. Video production is always evolving, so keeping across trends and changes in the industry is something I've always held in high regard. Longstanding and ongoing relationships with broadcast clients include SBS News, SBS Production, Cricket Australia, NITV, Nine News & Seven News. I also work with a range of corporate clients, showcasing the best of their business whether it's through advertising, social media, internal communications or events coverage. I specialise in video production with a hands-on, small scale footprint approach, covering the roles of camera, sound, producing and editing. My reputation is built on integrity, hard work and striving to achieve the best results in any situation. Given the opportunity I look forward to creating inspiring and memorable content for you and your business.

Broadcast
Title: Small Business Secrets, SBS TV
Role: Onsite Camera & Sound, Onsite Producer
Brief: Profile small businesses throughout Australia whilst capturing the human story behind their success. Our role covered both filming and on-site producing, with interviews conducted remotely. This example contains snippets from various stories, with final durations ranging from 5-7 minutes and broadcast nationally.
Title: The Point, NITV
Role: Onsite Camera & Sound
Brief: An in depth package following a racially charged incident that occurred in the Grampians National Park. Our role was to capture interviews and overlay over a 2 day period, highlighting the natural beauty and cultural significance of the area. This example is a small snippet of the final 9 minute package that was broadcast nationally.
CORPORATE
Title: National Community Cricket Awards
Role: Onsite Camera & Sound, Post Producer & Video Editing
Brief: Celebrating achievements in community cricket, this video is 1 in a series of 4 created to profile award winners across Australia. The brief was to capture the essence of club cricket and the emotion of receiving the award. Editing required building the narrative within a strict 2.20 minute final duration, deliverable in 16x9 & 9x16 format.
Title: Transmission Line Campaign
Role: Onsite Camera & Sound, Post Producer & Video Editing
Brief: A campaign designed to raise awareness of the negative impacts of overhead transmission lines, and urge the Federal Government to reconsider planned installations. The brief was to create a short snappy piece that resonates with the viewer through it's human story. Captured over a 4 hour period, with the final edited output ready for the client within 1 week.
EVENTS
Title: EcologiQ Conference Partnership
Role: Onsite Camera & Sound, Video Editing
Brief: Create a 90 second video highlighting IAG's ongoing support for the EcologiQ conference, bringing to life the conference as a hub for innovation and discussion. The client required all vision and interviews completed within a 4 hour call, with the final output delivered within 2 days.

Title: 2024 Theme, AIEC
Role: Onsite Camera & Sound, Post Producer & Video Editing
Brief: Scoca Productions has covered AIEC annually since 2013, filming a variety of sessions, interviews and content over a 4 day period. A host of outputs are created onsite for daily turnarounds on social media, as well as post conference. The brief for this video was to highlight the 2024 conference theme, while showcasing the diversity of speakers & delegates, diversity of sessions, and the networking opportunities available to potential delegates.
Equipment
At Scoca Productions we work with a range of camera formats depending on client needs. Our camera of choice is the industry standard Sony FX6, paired with Sony G-Master lenses for incredibly sharp and stunning results. We also supply drones, gimbals, sound and lighting equipment to cover all jobs whether big or small.
